Justy Business announces that the purchase of the Spiegelturm commercial building in Berlin has now been completed.

The iconic mirror tower was built in 1991. It has approx. 15,000 m² of leasable space and houses a hotel and restaurant with a panoramic view on the entire area of Berlin as well as commercial offices with underground parking spaces.

A topping out ceremony to celebrate the achievement of a key milestone has been held on site of Charlie Living, the project run by Justy Business and Trockland Management GmbH. This is a time-honoured tradition that signify the successful completion of the structural phase of a project, when the shell of a building is erected.

The topping out ceremony has maintained its importance as a symbolic measure of success on projects, marking this milestone of construction and granting the opportunity for the individuals involved to celebrate the progress made.

With the hotel investment market in Germany remaining robust, the investments in Novum Hotel Mariella (Cologne) and Hotel Franke (Berlin) by Justy Business have been completed.

The successful completion of the investments into these hotels was a move which marked the beginning of a wider investment cycle from Justy Business in partnership with NOVUM Hospitality.

Things are moving forward for one of the most prominent locations in the heart of Berlin. With the obtained building permit for the Charlie Living residential complex, Justy Business and Trockland Management GmbH have reached the first milestone of the project. Four modern buildings are going to be built not far from the famous Checkpoint Charlie.

Charlie Living's architecture impresses with its differently sized structures, each with its own facade and surface theme. Glass bay windows, floor-to-ceiling window facades with entire width of the room, balconies of different size and spacious communal areas are part of the concept of the internationally renowned GRAFT architecture firm.

Construction preparations, enabling and other preliminary works for the exclusive apartments project in Checkpoint Charlie are currently under way.

As soon as building permit is obtained, the Charlie Living project will be started at full speed. It is designed to be the largest predominantly residential project in Friedrichstadt, in direct proximity to former Checkpoint Charlie. The wide ensemble of four new buildings will fill one of the last open lots of Berlin Mitte with its former strip of the Berlin Wall.
